Unknown Atelier is not bound by type, scale, or medium.

We design across dimensions—from buildings to pedestrian bridges, interiors to ceramics, public installations to Metaverse environments.

We operate as a studio, a laboratory, a playground.
Founded by Sharona Sha and Kuhane Blackburn, Unknown Atelier is fueled by the tension between discipline and improvisation, tradition and speculation.

We do not believe in style as a solution.
Each project begins with a question. Each outcome is a synthesis of logic, beauty, and cultural depth.

We collaborate with visionary clients who, like us, are drawn to the edge of the familiar—to the threshold where architecture becomes art, and design becomes discovery.

Welcome to Unknown Atelier — Where Vision Meets the Unknown.

Kuhane Blackburn

Kuhane holds a Master of Architecture degree and has been deeply influenced by an artistic upbringing that has cultivated his exceptional taste and sensitivity to art. An out-of-the-box thinker, he boldly explores uncharted territories in the realms of art and design, bringing delightful surprises and sparks of inspiration to every project. His rare talent is a standout in the architecture profession.

Over the past 10 years, Kuhane has worked at some of the most prestigious design firms in the world, including close collaboration with the renowned architect Peter Zumthor. Through these experiences, he has absorbed Zumthor’s design philosophy and spatial research methods, which he integrates into our design process.

Kuhane’s expertise spans beyond traditional architectural services—building design and interiors—to pioneering endeavors in the digital art world, including creating NFTs and Metaverse design work.

Sharona Sha (沙柳)

Sharona holds a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design. With an exceptional eye for beauty and a deep sensitivity to cultural narrative, her work is a fusion of artistic intuition, spatial intelligence, and technical precision.
